This is the amendment they want to abolish — presidential term limits? That is really the top priority right now? There are so many other worthy laws just waiting to be abolished. Please don’t neglect them.
How about this: First Congress should abolish the 16th Amendment (federal income tax), the 17th Amendment (popular election of U.S. senators rather than state legislatures appointing them), the National Defense Authorization Act detention provisions, and the Federal Reserve Act of 1913.
That would cut the federal government down to size and give power back to the people and the states, where it rightfully belongs. And then we’ll talk about a third term for the megalomaniac.

Democratic New York Rep. Jose Serrano reintroduced a bill in Congress Friday to repeal the 22nd Amendment, which places term limits on the U.S. presidency.
The bill, which has been referred to committee, would allow Barack President Obama to become the first president since Franklin Roosevelt to seek a third term in office.
